Martha, Jason, Jesse and I went into D.C. to listen to some fusion jazz. Martha is coming along with the baby and her shower is this weekend which is exciting. I hear the elusive Miriam and Chris will be there and I can't wait to see them. Then we are going to see sex and the city on Sunday and dressing up like the girls. That should be a hoot! Pictures to follow.
My mom is off hiking the grand canyon and i hope she is careful as a friend of mine Erlene died this past weekend in a freak accident.

Your mom has returned from the dangers of the Grand Canyon to the safety of the ATL. HA! Nine friends and family hiked down the South Rim (6 miles) and up the North Rim (14 miles). The adventure was everything we hoped it would be and more - enjoying one of God's best efforts with a fantastic group of people. Unfortunately, the soles of Howard's boots gave up the ghost halfway down the South Rim (they had held up nicely in three previous trips to the Canyon), but with the wonders of duct tape and Chris' surgical tape, he hobbled his way out of the North Rim. And poor Dave made the mistake of wearing new socks that he had not tried with his trusted boots. He limped out with blisters the size of half dollar pieces. Otherwise, there were no other incidents. It was a wonderful experience - not for the faint of heart!
